24.10.16 - Weekly Update
Last week was all about my magazine, I had to create a flatpan and show everything that i wanted to include for example the features and where i wanted to place the main image and cover lines. This was done on word and i was able to decide which would be best fit the idea. I then went onto the contents page and decided how i wanted to include the features and regulars. The readership profile from my questionnaire was also a task that i needed to do so i accumulated all of the data to then create my target market of who would most likely read my magazine. After all of this I had to research some photoshoot ideas to ensure I was prepared for when I was in the studio with the models. To enhance this I also made a photoshoot plan of all of the props, models, location and clothing which I had informed all to the models the day before to allow them to also be ready. So that was everything I had done last week. Keep checking for more updates and posts. Byeee!

Photoshoot Plan
Models:
Model 1 - Ruby
Model 2 - Oliwia
Model 3 - Melissa
Model 4 - Danielle
Props:
For props i am going to use folders and books aswell as possibly bags to ensure the photoshoot is still associated with 6form despite it being based on style and dress code.
Location:
For the location of my photoshoot it would be good to have it either outside to involve other aspects or in a classroom or near a desk to allow it to be easily associated with 6form and school. However if i use a plain background it would be more effective to add more text and flash to make it look more interesting.
Outfits/clothing:
Due to my magazines main concept being based on dress codes and style, it is vital that my models wear smart but nice clothes. therefore i have ensure they all wear similar colours but are still quite different styles to ensure that it portrays a fun but sophisticated atmosphere to the magazine.

Photoshoot ideas
I am now onto planning a photoshoot so i had to research some photoshoot ideas first to ensure that i was ready and prepared to start with the models. Therefore i found some images and collated them together.
Readership Profiling
This is my readership profile for both boys and girls who would most likely be in 6form and read the magazine. I used the data gathered from my questionnaire to do this. Therefore i can understand that my target market audience for the magazine will be 16-18, they enjoy freedom of school but dislike the dress code significantly. Additionally they have big aspirations for example going into a career in accountancy and also like to go out with friends, listen to music and watch tv. Ultimately suggesting i could include a section in the magazine about hobbies for 6formers aswell as dress code tips and basics. They also have included lists of shops they enjoy going to, therefore another idea would be to include discount codes within the magazine to interest them. My audience is of an older age so i will also need to target the price and the sophistication of the magazine well.

Contents Page Plan
This is my first plan for the contents page, therefore i wanted to ensure it was organised well and includes everything that should be on the contents page to inform people reading the magazine. It is quite simple and there is a lot of space to include all of the information.
This is similar to the first plan however i have rearranged it to show that the image is not the main focus and i can include the page numbers clearer as there is more space for text. However if i decide to use this contents page it will look boring as there would be too much text therefore i need to make sure that the image is interesting and looks good.

Decisions. Last week I had to decide my colour scheme, a name for the magazine and the type of font that would look best. When deciding all of these i decided that placing it in table form would allow me to compare all of them. Therefore starting with the colours i had to ensure i included the 6form colours which meant that all of the others had to somewhat compliment the others. So i chose bright colours that i thought would make it look interesting. For the fonts and names I thought it was important to choose many different fonts that looks completely different to each other so i can decide clearly which looked best. All of the names were quite short and simple so i decided on the name Simply 6F. My masthead colours was also important because i could see that a darker colour was better despite my colour schemes all consisting of pastel and light colours. That was all for last week, see you next week for more. Byeee!

Flat Plan
This is my first flat plan which i created on Microsoft word. I used colours from my colour scheme so i could visually see what it could potentially look like. You are able to see where i am planning on placing sections on my magazine cover. I can see that i need to make some areas larger as it needs to be visibly clear to make it look aesthetically pleasing,
This is my second flat pan which i have rearranged where it looks more packed and organised. I prefer for a cover magazine for the main image to be in the centre so i prefer my first flat pan as it is clearly the main concept and allows you to instantly pay attention to it. Also have included less in the second flat pan and the image is also a small portion of the magazine.

10.10.16 - Weekly Update
Revision Time. So this last week I had to use my knowledge of camera angles and the ability to justify the significance of them for my media induction test. Last week was fully revision but I still wanted to update you all on what is happening. So next week I'm going to start deciding colour schemes for my magazine as well as names. Keep checking for new posts. Byeeee!
03.10.16 - Weekly Update
Week 3 already! Last week was all mainly about gathering research for my magazine from people who I am aiming it to be towards (6 formers) It has been quite productive, I created a questionnaire on word for my target market and gave it to 20 individuals from the ages of 16-18 based upon themselves as well as magazines and 6form itself. This was to allow me to collect data to enable my school magazine to be effective and appealing. I then collected my results and using infogram I put the data into different chart formats depending on the question itself. This was a lot easier to see and understand the data and compare it to how the other results varied. This was quite a long task as it required a different chart for each question however I finally finished it. So that was all for last week come back next week for more updates. Byeeee!

26.09.16 - Weekly Update
I'm back! Week 2 of media went well I researched colour psychology and what each colour represented for example red being associated with both anger and love which are complete opposites. It was quite good to also understand the effort that goes into creating magazine covers and how the designers create a cover to present a particular visual image to convey to people. So I done this by comparing 2 different school magazines. Last week I done quite a lot so I then found a music video and attempted to identify a variety of different camera angles which allowed me to understand what effect it gives when watching the video. The last thing I done last week was contribute to a mind map full of ideas of magazine topic ideas. This was interesting to do because first I put all of my ideas onto paper and then I found a website called 'Coggle' which allowed me to brainstorm and expand my ideas. So that was all for last week. I will update you guys next week. Byeeee!
19.09.16 - Weekly Update
My first week of media is over and so far I really like it! I've learnt about Demographics and the idea of categorising individuals into 7 different groups depending on factors like pay. I further looked at Psychographics which places people into groups depending on their interest and attitudes. This was quite interesting to understand how people study individuals' behavior and patterns. Next week I am going to attempt to identify different camera angle and understand why they are used. I will update you guys next week about how much I'm enjoying media. Byeeee!
